Web Browser

Wednesday, January 28th, 2004

So far, very few people are reading my other site (mattheerema.com), and that is probably just as well, because it’s a tech site, and most likely very few of you are geeks who may be interested in the stuff on there.

I had an entry on there a few days ago that is worth […]

Political II

Tuesday, January 27th, 2004

Okay, it’s time to get political again.

Bush on the Economy

I think this transcript of a casual conversation at a restaraunt with the Prez does a great job of explaining how the economy works. Opponents, I’m sure, would say he’s dodging the questions, but, if you are intelligent, you will realize he is really cutting […]

Abortion 2

Thursday, January 22nd, 2004

Gallup Polls show that 72% of teens believe abortion is morally wrong. One Third say it should be illegal in all circumstances, compared to 17% of adults.

Why?

Because we are the Survivor generation. One out of four of us was aborted. 39,000,000 children were murdered since 1973.

Propaganda

Tuesday, January 20th, 2004

I read a news brief today from crosswalk.com that lead me to research this:

Generation Pro-Choice

It is a massive campaign by NARAL (The National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League). To try to win back the emerging generation to be “Pro-Choice” (read: Pro-infanticide).

The quote from their Web site is telling:

And we need your help getting other […]

In the name of love

Thursday, January 15th, 2004

I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about this. A U2: best of, of sorts, all the songs recorded (cough butchered) by Christian artists… in order to raise awareness/funds/hype of the whole DATA thing…

Aside from the fact that this is a dream project… and that The Lone Strangers could have recorded […]

Purpose Driven Article

Wednesday, January 14th, 2004

There was a great aritcle in Modern Reformation magazine that contains an interview with Rick Warren; pastor of Saddleback church and author of The Purpose Driven Life. Some highlight quotes:

The first chapter, “It All Starts With God,” and the opening sentence of the book, “It’s Not About You!” makes it clear that we were […]
