Even though I am sitting at a computer in a back room, I managed to get interviewed by Shreveport local news channel 12. We’ll see if I make the cut.

Well, after 15 hours of driving, a few wrong turns, a stop in Texarkana to some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, we’re here in Shreveport.

We are working in the Hirsch Colliseum Red Cross shelter. There are over 1000 refugees here.

I have been reading with shock and horror this morning of the tragedy that is the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Possible casualty role of thousands.

Armed, roving, looting plasma TV’s electronics, burglarizing people’s houses.

Desperate survivors who scavenge food from ravaged grocery stores being labeled looters.

Military rescue helicopters, private rescue boats, BEING SHOT AT.
