A Collision E-Card
September 21, 2005
Last post on A Collision (or 3+4=7) I promise:
Click on “The CD and The Songs”
Click on each song to read a bit about what it is about, but especially CLICK ON “COME AWAKE”. Read.
Enjoy the song previews…
Also, be sure and buy their EP on iTunes. They are currently #11 most downloaded album. One away from their goal! (Currently being beat out by Ryan Cabrera. No one wants that, right?)
Improving Link Display for Print

Print style sheets are a very handy (and becoming a necessary) part of content-driven CSS based sites. One never-quite-perfect aspect of print style sheets has been displaying link URLs in the print version. The current method is to use a little CSS/DOM trickery to place the URL after the linked text within the document. This makes for some ugly, if at all readable print documents.
<p>Aaron Gustafson has come up with a great method for appending these links as footnotes. Check it out:</p>

Need to brush up on your music theory?
September 20, 2005
While hunting for some stuff for my piano students, I came across Ricci Adams’ www.musictheory.net. It’s FREE, and is pretty user-friendly for being FREE. It has some great opportunities for young students to practice naming notes, as well as some trickier stuff like hearing intervals for you pros. How are you all doing with your tritones and minor sevenths? :)
Crowder iTunes: A Collision is Coming “EP”
September 20, 2005
Don’t believe that Rock n Roll can really change the world…
For those of you who can’t wait (and I recommend you don’t), you can download three tracks off the new Crowder disc from iTunes.
You can download all three as an album for $2.59. If you must pick only one, I highly highly recommend “Foreverandever Etc.” You will be hearing it at the Rock eventually :)
Why download the iTunes if you are planning on buying the album? Well, there are a couple of reasons:
Instant gratification. I do not recommend purchasing them for this reason.
To support the band. They are on a mission to try and get this album into the top 10 albums downloaded. A noble goal with an interesting potential outcome: lots and lots (10 millionish) people who have never heard of the David Crowder*Band or its heavenly music potentially giving it a listen. If you believe that this would be a beneficial end, I recommend you spend the $2.49 and see if we can’t make this happen.
An interesting marketing ploy for sure, but I think this goes above and beyond simple economics. Why? Because I am still young and naive enough to believe that Rock n Roll can really change the world as it spins in revolutions and spirals and it turns.
