New Project: RockWorship.com
October 27, 2005
Recently, I have “soft launched” RockWorship.com (and/or GCworship.com).
I have owned RockWorship.com for like four years now, thinking it was a sweet sounding domain name, but never really knowing what to do with it. The idea for this site was born at Faithwalkers last year. I realized that it is a crying shame that the guys who “do what i do” at the various churches in our movement don’t know eachother. We essentially do our own job in a vacuum. My hypothesis is that there is an immense amount of power in shared resources :).
Rockworship.com A resource site for and by Great Commission worshippers. Hoping to create music to lead people where we aspire to be – God’s presence. Rockworship.com (and gcworship.com) is intended to be a resource and discussion site for worship leaders in the Great Commission Association. Hopefully it will also be a blessing to the body of Christ at large.
We have just a few contributers (worship leaders around various GCA churches). I’m hoping that by Faithwalkers we will have a solid enough content base to have more of a public release.
If you are a GC worship leader and would like to contribute, contact me, and I’ll get you set up.
Go AM radio
October 26, 2005
Awesome discovery this morning while en route from Des Moines…AM 1190 radio…a great swing station! It’s not all “up tight”, super-fast swing…I just thought it was great. Anyhoo, check it out. Any other sweet AM stations that I should be aware of?
Movie Trailer Remixes
October 24, 2005
I just found the most hillarious thing (via apollo pony)
Movie trailer remixes that prove that it’s all about scene selection and music. Alternative forms could give you a completely different impression of the movie.
- Shining – as a feel good, romanitc comedy, family movie
- Titanic – as horror/thriller
- West Side Story – as zombie flick (with a little more editting than just scene selection and music…)
Brilliant.
The Shining remix is probably the best of the three, and the Titanic remix is probably the most accurate. West Side Story is very creative, but a little more of a stretch to get there.
