According to an article in the UCLA student newspaper, you shouldn’t post photos of yourself doing stupid, half naked, drunk things, or let people write on your wall about the stupid half naked drunk things you did…
Sims said there have been several cases of employers rescinding job offers to student candidates because of information obtained through Facebook.
She said employers will find content they determine to be less than professional or inappropriate, and many students do not realize the consequences.
What bothers me more (being on facebook) is the prevalence of these types of activities, and the brazen-ness with which people post about them. It breaks my heart, on both levels.
It’s a big part of why I do what I do… to help pick up the broken pieces once they are done being shredded by the system (drinking, partying, sleeping around, and thinking that that’s all there is…). It’s not that I’m simply against the system, labelling it as wrong. I just see the system break people’s lives. Leaving them emotionally, spirtiually, and often, physically scarred for the rest of their lives.

One of the gifts Nancy and I recieved for Christmas was a gift certificate to one of our favorite restaurants: P.F. Chang’s. We finally got around go going last night. Enjoyed every bite, and brought home about four meals worth of leftovers (one of the best part of the restaraunt.)
It’s a fairly “fancy” place, though you can dress however you want. You’ll probably feel a bit out of place in jeans and a t-shirt, but there are people there who wear that sort of thing. There are also people in tuxedos and formal gowns. I have no idea why. Prices average about $10-$12 per plate. Dinner for two with appetizer and drinks and tip is around $40. Hence, only go on very special occasions (like having a gift card).
To cut to the chase; this morning I woke up to a blood curdling scream coming from our dining room. Nancy had woken up before me and gone downstairs, and discovered, to her horror, that we had forgotten to refrigerate the leftovers, thus despoiling the contents of the beautiful, fragrant, white paper bag. We are still in mourning.

Charlie Hall’s latest album “Flying into Daybreak” dropped today. A lot of the stuff on here is a definite step up from previous material. (Though, Salvation is still my favorite song of his.) Marvelous Light is really growing on me.
Full review coming soon.
