Recipe for a successful Valentine’s day
- Gather baking materials.
- Purchase rose.
- Bake cake (make sure to find out ahead of time what your sig. other’s favorite baked good is).
- Clean up mess from baking cake. *
- Continue cleaning such that the kitchen is actually CLEANER than before you started. *
- Place cake and rose in refridgerator.
- Place notes randomly around the house (starting in the first place sig other is most likely to look) leading them to the fridge.
- Rent classic comedy movie (may I suggest The Three Amigos).
- Go out to dinner at a quasi-fancy, yet not horribly expensive restaurant (you have to save the fancy ones for anniversaries and birthdays).
- Skip watching the movie :)
* Note: Steps 4 and 5 are arguably the most important steps for married folks. Failure to do these steps could completely negate the possitive effect of steps 1-7). Surgeon General’s Notes: Results may vary. Consult the physician before carrying out ANY plans. Possible side effects may include, nausea in single friends, rolled eyes at cheese factor, ridiculous romantacism.

Oh, so that’s why Nancy didn’t answer her phone! Goodness! That’s what happens when your spouse is out of town on a hallmark holiday, it ceases to exist until their return, so it doesn’t exist for others either. Sorry Nanc!
And my reaction: “Oh, it’s Valentines day?”
