The Matrix

I know the whole Matrix thing is kinda old (though I still love, and wish I could use, illustrations from the first movie). If the movies are old, dressing as Matrix characters for Halloween is even older. BUT, how many of you have gone to a halloween party, dressed as something, only to be converted by a “Smith” into another Smith mid-party, and then gone and converted another party goer into a Smith… and then had Neo show up, and have an amazing photographer capture the whole event on film???

Ya.. that’s what I thought.

    Very funny. And wierd too, because I watched the first movie again this weekend and was struck by the climax wher Neo “dies.” Trinity then tells his dead body that she now knows he’s the One because the Oracle told her she would fall in love with a dead man and the dead man would be the One. And since she loves him and he is dead, therefore he is the One. “Now get up,” she concludes, and do what needs getting done.

    I thought about that in light of Ephesians 5:25 and how husbands must choose to die for their wives. I interpret that as in that we continually deny ourselves in the moment-by-moment choices we make.

    So my advice to ladies looking for Mr. Right, or maybe Mr. Close Enough, fall in love with a dead man.

    Those are Brandon Kleinke originals. He is a genius. You should see the “family portraits” that our house got last night.
    Matt, since you have a lot of free time, I think you should cut the background out of pic 5 and drop in a warehouse or something. That, and make me ripped.

    you know… that fact that the Matrix is old and overdone doesn’t really detract from your costumes in the way you commented…

    However… the second and third matrix movies do.
