Hello World

I would like to announce the birth of our daughter, Elena Rose Heerema, who entered this world at 8:03pm on Tuesday, January (thanks Ben) July 25, 2006.

7 lbs, 15 oz. 20 inches long 13.5 inch head.

Beautiful, perfect, fearfully and wonderfully made, masterfully knit together by our creator in her mother’s womb.

Nancy is doing wonderfully.

Labor started around 3am tuesday morning, things really got rolling at 1pm though, good strong, working contractions. We got to the hospital around 7, and the baby was out at 8:03. Very rapid! Nancy did this all without the use of medication of any sort (this was our preference though it is understandable that it is necessary in some circumstances.) She is such a trooper.

I would post pictures, but I forgot the cable that goes from my camera to the computer! It’ll have to wait until the morning. Massive apologies.

    Matt & Nancy, CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is fantastic news! I am glad to here mom and baby are doing good. Is this your first?

    We had our first child – a girl – 4.5 months ago. She is awesome and being a parent is absolutely amazing. You learn so much how God must see us, by how we see our little ones. Again, congratulations and if you’d like any tips, let me know!
