Hrm…
I seem to have broken my Web site, and I can’t figure out what is wrong…
Just thought you would like to know why it looks strange.
A chord of three strands is not quickly broken...

container must have the attribute of relative or absolute in order for #mattblog & #sidebar to use #container as their bounding box.
I have also found better luck in centering a container by specifying the with left at 50%, a width of 0, and appropriate negative left and right margins. It actually works.

thanks for taking a look Tony. I was messing around with a new font-size and family (that i didn’t like, and threw away) and misplaced my “position: relative;” in the mean time. Usually I don’t absolutely position my divs inside the container div, so I’m not used to seeing a position:relative; in that spot.
Gah, now I want to delete this post and remove all evidence that a chem-e has corrected this full-time web developer in his CSS…
Thanks for the help :)
Cool.
BTW, I keep hearing people talk about this intar-net thing. What’s that all about? Whoever can tell me is the most awsomemest web person evar!
