Rejoice With An Inexpressible Joy
Please read Adam’s most recent post. (If you don’t want to read the whole thing, please at least read his long quotation in the middle.)
Being a worship leader (or lead-worshipper, or music guy, whatever you want to call it) trying to get people to express their professed Love for Christ week in and week out is often discouraging… at best…
I read this yesterday and thought “is that really true of me, of our church?”
“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory…” 1 Peter 1:8 ESV
Last night after the Rock, our team (small group…) went to one of our houses to celebrate Rachel B’s birthday. After awhile, it turned into a “praise jam session” sitting around, singing, playing guitar, and beating on various things that make noise. It was awesome, and I really hope it was an expression of the verse above. I’m pretty sure it was…

That must have sweet gift for Rachel… I know it was to God.
