    Have you seen the series? Its worth the buy on DVD.

    My roomate Chris B has the Firefly series DVD. Chris, Shea and I are through a few of the episodes and it is really good.

    Does anyone know if this will be something where you need to have seen the series to get the movie?

    Serenity has been written such that you don’t need to have seen the series… tho I’m sure it’d be beter if you had. They’ll probably gloss over some of the finer points…

    Firefly (the series from which this comes) is on Sci Fi right now… fridays before Stargate.

    I’ve heard from the early reviews out that you do not need to see the series before the movie for it to make sense.

    However, don’t let that stop you from seeing them.

    I’m reading the comic “Serenity” right now. Seems pretty sweet and I started reading it before I saw the TV series. It seems to explain it just fine.
