Chronicles of Narnia looks great from the previews. I'd probably rank LOTR as the film of the decade, however.

I also am very much looking forward to "The New World" -- www.thenewworldmovie.com -- from Terrence Malick. He only does like on film per decade. He did "Thin Red Line" and one of my all-time favorites -- "Badlands" with Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek. If you haven't seen it, rent it.

And I agree on Nicholas Cage. I can barely respect him anymore after all the great movies he was in earlier in his career.

Doom: Woah! They had flashlights ON the guns? That's not proper Doom world... you need the Duct Tape mod for that. I'll probably download this at some point and watch it with a bunch of other people and laugh at it.

Aeon Flux: Don't really watch the anime, but I've seen enough to second the content advisory. Probably won't bother seeing it.

I am really intrigued by V is for Vendetta, even though I have now twice sumarily dismissed the Wachowskis as worthless. They always suck me in. Curse you, Wachowskis, curse you!

Good look on upcoming flicks. A couple of comments.

Chronicles of Narnia: While it looks pretty good, I'll have to side with Dan that LOTR probably ranks as the movie of the decade (pretty tough deal to beat).

Aeon Flux: I did watch the cartoon when it was MTV's Liquid Television." However, from the looks of what I've seen on this, Charlize Theron will be a bit more clothed than the cartoon version (that NC-17 rating could be slapped on pretty quickly with her in that kind of outfit and I imagine the producers are aiming for a PG-13).

okay, maybe i was a bit quick on the trigger with the "of the decade" label. We shall see.

About Aeon Flux - from the preview, no costumes looked too questionable. I'm going with Rob and guessing they'd be going for the PG-13 here.
