Purpose Driven Life

We are beginning the 40 Days of Purpose campaign at church this week. PDL’s premise is that we have 5 purposes in life. We exist for:

1. Worship - bring pleasure to God
2. Discipleship - grow in character
3. Fellowship - be as committed to our church family as we are to Christ
4. Ministry - serving our church family
5. Evangelism - spreading the GOOD NEWS of Christ

If we are not doing these 5 things, then we are wasting our time.

I love Rick Warren’s thought on how to have a successful day: If we get to know God a little better, and love him a little more, it was successful. If we don’t, no matter how much we accomplish, no matter how many items we knock off of our “to do” list, the day was a loss.

Beautiful. And so true.
