Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is a Great Movie!
Nancy and I went to the library last night and picked up a few DVDs. I decided that over the holiday I could splurge a little and watch a few movies I’ve been meaning to see, and since they were free, what the heck? The first on my list? Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
Wow what a great movie!!
I don’t mean that it was a masterpiece of the Silver Screen or that it deserves massive awards (did it win anything?), but that it was a wonderful piece of eye candy with just the right mix of action, comedy, romance, and mystery. It bordered on cheese-rific the entire movie, but never quite got there (that or it was so far over the cheese line that you didn’t notice.) The visual were all quite interesting, and the storyline was good enough to at least keep you engaged.
Good stuff. Highly recommended as it’s rated PG for a bit of violence (robots blowing stuff up) and mild language (I can’t recall).
The best two moments are at the end. Watch the movie so I don’t have to spoil it.

We love borrowing movies from the library! Sometimes you have to wipe the smudges off them or else they don’t work halfway through the movie. Enjoy!
I thought it was a good movie, except I don’t like Jude Law OR Angelina Jolie. Other than that I thought it was kind of cool.
I thought it was dull and over hyped with bad acting and a weak story line. The movies was supposed to be carried by the effects which were weak at best. And no it didn’t win anything.
