Nancy loves smoothies. She once told me “if you ever wanted to really show me you love me, you could bring me a smoothie”. So, on our way home from church this morning, we stopped by Hy-Vee to get some lunch stuff. Nancy stayed in the car, and I thought “here’s my chance!” While walking through the isles trying to see if there was any pre-packaged smoothie that she’d like I came across Naked Juice’s Protein blend. Nancy told me that protein is a very good thing for pregnant mothers. After reading the ingredients for the juice, I thought “I can do that!” So here’s the recipe for what I came up with. It tasted pretty good.
Matt’s Tropical Protein Smoothie
- 10 frozen strawberries
- 1 cup low-fat strawberry yogurt
- 1 cup apple juice concentrate
- 24 whole over-ripe bananas
- 16 whole-unpeeled oranges
- 3 pineapples (unpeeled)
- 8 mangoes
- 1 whole brown headed spider monkey
- 24 oz. Ice
Blend well until… smooth (ie…)
Ultra nutritious, feeds 23, loaded with protein (from the spider monkey).
