Archie : the battle cat

Archie No-Collar

UPDATE: Archie’s collar has been returned. It was, as we suspected, in the neighboor’s back yard, having been left there after a fight with the neighbooring male (er, former male) kitty, Cinderfella. Cinderfella vs. Archimedes III, this time, it’s for the collar!

Archimedes has lost his collar.

I let him outside this morning for his usual romp around the back yard. He stayed out a little longer than usual and I went around looking for him, and didn’t see him anywhere. I came back inside, figuring he must be expanding his territory.

A little while later, he jumps up on the windowsill outside the house (that’s Archie-ese for “let me in please”)

He was walking a little funny, and something was a bit different about him. HIS COLLAR WAS MISSING and he had white and grey cat fur all over him.

Apparently he had been in a fight, somehow loosing his collar.

I wonder if he won, or lost, what happened to the other cat (that belongs to a neighboor of ours) and where his collar is…

… you only have ONE collar for your pet? I have 2 or 3 for my ferret - he seems to make a sport of hiding them places.

I’d be scared to let him out after that… what if he got picked up minus-collar??

    Is he microchipped??

Is he up to date on shots etc.???

OK, I was feeling sorry for the involved parties, but anyone who names their pet “Cinderfella” deserves to have their pet’s butt kicked.
