volume dirty
Reason 213421.1234 why I love Mac (or, hate windows… one of the two). This popped up after the most recent “update” installed on my PC.

i could be wrong since it’s been a little while for me, but doesnt that mean you named your drive “dirty”?
100% sure my drive is not named dirty.
ROFL…
Tho to be fair Macs have their own version(s) of the “blue screen of death”… they’re just USUALLY easier to recover from…
Maybe if your computer had BATHED once in a while…
I must say that every time I have crashed a Mac, it has been really, REALLY bad. They go down a lot less often, but when they go, they’re gone.
Windows gives me a full time job - so I feel I must stick up for it!!
CHKDSK is not always a bad thing - it fixes some problems on its own.
(How’s that?!?)

Um… the fact that an OS that sucks gives you a full time job isn’t something to be terribly proud of…
It’s like saying “Well, brand X of car is horribly unreliable, but I’m a mechanic for them, so I’ll stand up for them.”
That said, I make part of my living from fixing Windows machines too. It’s not enjoyable. I much prefer the networking hardware… managed switches… long range wireless links… grins

LOL
Russ… is matt’s blog a good place to have an OS war???
Yes it is… I agree whole heartedly…
“Micro-shaft Win-blows is an inferior piece of software that a drunken monkey could hack into… provided it was running at the time and not on said blue screen of death.”
What better place to have an OS war?? After all, didn’t he start it? :)) (Still love ya Matt!)
Since it shows no signs of going away anytime soon - I think I’ll keep my job supporting “Micro-shaft Win-blows” for now. Someone has to. :))
BTW: Wasn’t it over an Apple that all this sin stuff started - oh, wait a minute, the Word actually says “fruit”. Got distracted by flash screens of the numerous times errant pictoral recreations of the fall (imbedded in RAM cells from my childhood) included that little Apple symbol. ;)))
