Catholic Town Opens in Fla.

This is extremely odd.

ABC News: City of God: Catholic Town Opens in Fla.

Monaghan has said his goal is to help as many people as possible get to Heaven. And he hopes these homeowners will have a head start.

How are you going to help people get to heaven if you only allow Catholics into this town??

It sounds more like he’s trying to create a heaven here on earth… hmmm… too bad it’s comprised of a bunch of imperfect people…

It doesn’t say only Catholics will be allowed in… it just sounds like the businesses and people will get incentives for promoting certain values. His intention seems to be to make sure that Catholics have an easier time staying Catholic and thus more going to Heaven. We could probably misread his intentions a dozen different ways, but as far as I can see there really isn’t a good reason to do what he is doing.

Also, I think its funny that they have 11k houses and the church only holds 1,100.
