Discontentment or Spiritual Principle?

I have a pretty sweet computer. It helps me do my job efficiently. It is sufficiently quick, powerful, and pretty. However, my new job is sending me a sweeter, faster, prettier one. Suddenly, I find myself discontented with my perfectly good current computer.

I was relating this to my wife’s aunt and she said “Well isn’t that how we’re supposed to be about life? Christians have a better life coming, so we’re supposed to look forward to that one and not be attached to this one…”

Wow. Talk about turning my perspective around. She took my sinful discontentment and made it a parallel for a spiritual principle.

(I wonder if my co-workers read this blog, and what they think about their crazy Christian designer guy…) The world may never know…

So…whatcha doin’ with your old one?

I’ll like, babysit for a month, maybe even two! What do you say?

I love my powerbook, but it has some serious personality problems.

    Pat - HA!

Dustin and Nate - My “old” computer will continue to remained faithfully stationed on my desk, as anything I create on the new one will technically be property of AOL. My side work will be done on my current machine.
