Katrina. The equivalent of Armageddon?
I have been reading with shock and horror this morning of the tragedy that is the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Possible casualty role of thousands.
Armed, roving, looting plasma TV’s electronics, burglarizing people’s houses.
Desperate survivors who scavenge food from ravaged grocery stores being labeled looters.
Military rescue helicopters, private rescue boats, BEING SHOT AT.
It is like a scene from… armageddon?
Not quite.
This is a terrible tragedy. Carnage, chaos…
But I disagree with Fox News’s headline Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s statement.
(thanks Pat for pointing out that I should clarify that.)
It’s not even close. I don’t think anyone has any idea what we’re in for with Armageddon….

In fairness to Fox, that is a quote from Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who is simply the most recent in the long line of idiot politicians making preposterous statements.
