Anthem
this is my anthem this is my prayer for thirty nine million friends who will never feel the air
and this is my song this is my battle cry that one for every three of us had to die
Is it true what they say Was there no other way It will still happen today so i will just pray
This is my dirge this is my moan for the millions and millions who never saw home
And This is my call This is my dare four thousand among us won’t see today
It’s not all about you or what you have to do there’s another one to think of who matters too
just give them a chance

Did you write this Matt or was it something that really hit you so you decided to post it?
I wrote it. the first stanza was stuck in my head, so I wrote it out, and the rest followed.
The fact that I even had to ask that question reveals that I thought this “anthem” was pretty darn good! (The explicative is used intentially for emphasis value only. Please don’t conclude that this is my common vernacular and thus reprove me soundly with Eph. 4:29. Thanks.) Keep that right side of the brain active, Matt. I like what I’m seeing… well, sometimes.
Thanks, Tim. I appreciate the encouragement. :)
