Two words: 50’s neck. Play before you buy, or you might wish that you had just put strings on a baseball bat instead.

Wow. That’s gorgeous! I haven’t seen this yet. (Perhaps I’m under a rock.)

I love those subtle flames. I bet this axe is even better looking in person.

Pat: As with any instrument, shape and size, fit and finish do matter, but it’s relative. I know some players who dig the fatter necks.

David, it’s a new guitar. I know that some people like the fat necks, but knowing Matt, I have a suspicion that he might not…
I do think it’s funny that he fell in love with the guitar because of the flames (which do look awesome), which is typical Matt. But when he showed me the website I was like, “Built in strap locks - that’s nice. And a locking Neutrik jack. OH!!! Push/pull pots for coil-tapped pickups!!! Awesome!!!”
Which just goes to show why he’s a graphic designer and I’m a nerd.

Pat’s right, I love it for the way it looks, but the hardware is good. The neck could be a deal breaker, def. But it’s worth a look.

In the grand scheme of guitar gear that I need, this is fairly low priority, and is probably a ways off in the future. But it’s still cool. Mostly I’m just dreaming.

Pat: Uh oh. I like the flames and the jack, pots and pickups. I’m torn somewhere between a designer and a nerd. :) As always, I’m just not sure which camp to pitch my tent in.

I’m not too big a fan of the fat necks either. And you know Matt’s style, so I’m sure your input is spot on. He mentioned you guys jam together. I’ve got your disc and I really dig it. There’s some cool stuff there. Keep up the great work!

    Les Paul…

The labor cost in America is too high to produce anymore quality goods. That is why we import so many products. The Slash Epiphone is acutally a better buy than an American made Gibson. Not because of the price, but because of cheaper labor cost. If I …
