Lake Shore

I made some money playing rock n roll on lake shore gave it all away to some homeless guy on smack i’m such a sucker for a sob story and and heartfelt prayer but someday i’m pretty sure i’ll win it all back.

i told my story to bruno from over in switzerland i shared the good news about god and his son he said he didn’t believe me and won’t unless he has to i guess i used to be just like him, on the run

i spoke until my heart bled i played till my fingers bled i’m such a fool i’m such a fool but some day i’ll get it all back

i love to sing at strangers and make them laugh and dance i’d like to think that’s why i’m here but i have a hard time telling the story that saved me from myself i guess that’s why i’m here, so they can hear
