Leading Worship at the Rock

This pretty much sums up what leading worship tonight felt like for me:

Confusion while leading worship

It was a strange night.

that would be terrible if no one else had ever sang through a whole set at the rock and not realized the weight of the words. i know that many people come every friday and sing because it’s the social norm, not because the holy spirit moves them.

your lack of spiritual invincibility on stage helped the people you were leading, it didn’t hurt them.

is it hard for you to show weakness as a leader? i know if you hadn’t, God probably wouldn’t have moved like he did.

i’ve heard it said before by a young believer that he felt guilt when he saw a worship leader lead week after week appearing to always be full of the spirit. he said he struggles with focusing all the time, and felt like he was alone in that. i know he didn’t feel alone friday, and it was strangely refreshing for him to see others struggle with him.
