Another Reason to Buy A Mac: iWork ‘08

Apple iWork ‘08

Apple has an Office killer.

I can open your Word documents, make them prettier, and save them as Word documents, or export them to PDF…

I can open your Excel files, with all of your formulas, and save them as Excel files…

I can open your PowerPoint presentations, make them cooler, and save them as PowerPoint presentations…

I can do all this with iWork ‘08 which costs $79.

    PLUS you have all the advantages of Numbers, which has some killer charting themes, budgeting (far better than excels) business budgeting, all that great stuff.. iWork 08 rocks the socks even off of iWork 06

    So, I take it that this is a big upgrade from the old version? I bought the old version when I got my mac, and my wife hates it, and refuses to use it.

    Apple dummy question: Does it work on Windows?

    I keep debating about purchasing a home computer. So many questions:
    * pc or laptop
    * lowend or what i really want
    * windows or apple
    * stay w/ OS i know or learn new one
    * keep using darcy’s & save $
    * now or later

    I keep opting for later cuz I can’t seem to make up my mind.

    Apple may make nice products, but how many of them does the average individual actually need to own?

    Yeah, I’m all about the Mac…
    but you can also do all those things with NeoOffice, an open source suite for the Mac…
    and it’s FREE!
