God Is Able
At the Faithwalkers Conference, Herschel Martindale spoke on God The Magnificent Grace Giver, and challenged us to memorize 10(ish) verses. One of them was 2 Corinthians 9:8.
Nancy took this challenge to heart, and started memorizing some of these. She showed me this one specifically (I hadn’t “gotten around to it” just yet… ;-)). So last night over anchovy pizza, she helped me memorize it. It goes like this (in ESV)
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8

WOW what an amazing statement. Talk about blanket statement of blanket statements. ALL grace, ALL sufficiency (or contentment…), ALL things, ALL times, EVERY good work…
Life changing power here. Memorize this and live by it. It has encouraged me for today, because we have a LOT of work to do in the next week to get ready to move, and I have some impending deadlines for work that are looming large right now, but God’s grace makes me sufficient. Good stuff.
