Prayer
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
-St. Francis of Assisi, 13th century

so why is this important to you? I am not trying to be flippant I just want to know what you where thinking when you read this?
this is such a beautiful song.
i sang it in high school with some friends of mine… 5 piece male harmony. It was in my head yesterday… then the profundity of the lyrics hit me.
i wish they would have hit me in high school.
it is beautiful. i’m going to try to make an arrangement on guitar.
I like reading hymns rather than singing them.
