Ah, here we are, forgive-and-forget christians. Yet,why is it that a post about M-4 assault rifles yields 14 posts, but something biblical recieves only 1? As qouted above: "The great aim of their life should be to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, everything else should be subordinate to this."

That includes M-4's and, yes; Miniguns.

I'm not the bible scholar that most of you are, but that seems counter to what I remember....

I remember the man named Job who was very wealthey and was considered to be one of God's best deciples...

I also remember... somewhere... somthing about giving %10 of your earnings to the church...

Also, if the passage above were accurate... it would make god a commie pink-o @#$%^. ;)

I am also curious if this William MacDonald practices what he preaches.

Dave... intersting comments.

Job - Old Testament. The example we see in the NT runs contrary to this. Does this mean that there won't ever be rich Christians? Nope. Read the rest of the book i quoted from ;)

10% - again, old testament.

Communism - indeed, the new testament model of church operates a bit like a communism... but on an incredibly small (non-national) and completely selfless scale.

William MacDonald - as far as I know, he strives his best to..

Having chatted with Matt on-line a bit. I've come to the conclusion that the philosophy that Mr. MacDonald is talking about is a good one... tho perhaps not the best....

Certianly if he practices what he preaches, as Matt says he "strives to," Mr. MacDonald is a man I would have enormous respect for, even if I would dis-agree on a few of the finer points... but that is another story.
